You could drive a bit further across to Med coast nr Tarragona, not that far, 6-7hrs then you have sites like Sanguli which might be what you want. Better weather than on the Atlantic coast as well.
Camping Sanguli at salou is the type of site you described. We had a look round in April but we only wanted to stay a couple of nights so it was expensive, 30 odd euros a night. They're not in ACSI either so we stayed at one in cambrills.
Do you want to do the Atlantic coast of Spain, or the Mediterranean? If it's the Mediterranean side you're looking at then it can be as easy to just drive down through France, with a couple of overnight stops - and a much cheaper ferry crossing.
There are lots of sites such as you describe on the Mediterranean - El Delfin Verde, Camping Cypsela, La Ballena Allegre, L'Amfora, and many others. On the northern coast (Atlantic) you'll find Playa Joyel (used by Eurocamp) or use the ACSI website (http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/spain/cantabria/) to help you search for others.

This site is good for camp sites in Spain ... you can search with parameters you want, too.
By the way, we love the north coast ... seven years, so far ... and will be back again.
Don't tend to do the big, all singing, all dancing sites ... you can see where we've been from my reviews ... but the site search should point you at what you are looking for ... loads to do in the area though!
Cheers its the north I want really but struggling to find a singing and dancing one so maybe ill have to spread my wings a wee bit further....thankyou.!!

We just had our 1st trip abroad and decided to go that bit further and we had 2 weeks at Playa Montroig we also visited Tamarit Park while we was in the area as this was our 2nd choice and we found that we made the right choice for our family. Let me know if you need any further info
Thanks
