I've just had an email from Roan holidays, offering an early booking special. Two weeks can be had in a tent in France, for £139 - on the 28th May - and that's for up to six people. Croatia also offers some cracking deals - we may be tempted again, having missed out on the opportunity in 2014. See here for offers.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
The price doesn't include travel - you have to make your own arrangements, but the price includes up to six people. (Don't necessarily have to be children).
The detail is in the description of the tent:
5.00 x 5.00 m (25 m2)
3 sleeping cabins, up to 6 people
big water-permeable gound cloth in front of the tent
partytent or parasol
with free pillows and duvets
large fridge with separate freezer
free barbecue or grillplate
incl. fan
i can vouch for roan they are fab, the accommodation is spotless and the reps are responsible and pleasant. You do have to thoroughly clean your accommodation at the end though, including windows!!!!
Their prices before and after July are amazing, so cheap it oftens beats taking your own tent. Their mobile homes are really lovely.
Have just provisionally booked Croatia for summer (dont tell hubby!!!!)

We have bought quite a few things for the van via Dutch and German websites.
Looked at Roan last year for some super last minute deals.
Phoned Roan on a UK number and commented on their poor exchange rate (they are all guilty of this), they reduced the UK rate to the euro exchange rate of that day (further savings).
Just looked at the link that Val kindly put up and its the same poor exchange rate at the moment - you could go via their Dutch site and pay with your decent credit/debit card or phone the UK people.
Saving approx £35 on 14 nights star mobile France June 2016 !
