It's near Sitges which is near Barcelona.
If you take your own caravan the sites in Benidorm are about €12 a night long term.
Camping Benidorm is the cheapest I saw at €10 long term.

Ive just left UK and am en route to southern Spain to spend 5 months flitting about, nearly all sites give good low rates for long stayers, at Los Gallardos we paid €8 a night, electric was metered but cheap. UK tv was very cheap although we didn't bother. I have two sites booked for over a month with very favourable rates. When we first did this a few years ago we were amazed at the amount of Brits that do it in their own vans and motorhomes, but it is a cheap way to live in the sun. Oh and there are a lot better sites than Vilanova Park further down the coast, Vilanova is a very shaded site.

How do you go about getting long-term rates ? Are they advertised or is it a case of emailing / phoning to see what is on offer ?
Because 8 euro a night is only 700 odd euro for 3 months, which is what you'd pay normally for rental for 2 weeks in the Summer. Very appealing.

Spot on Arthur, we generally pick a number of long stay sites, over a month and a couple of short stays, 2 weeks maybe. Last season we were on a site from mid December to the end of Feb, cost about 1000 euros which included electricity 😎😎😎
PS I email the sites to check for a pitch and tell them how long I wish to stay and ask the cost, this year there have been no pitches available for Jan and Feb at some sites

Why not go on a few CCC winter rallies and try out a few campsites. You could then make enquiries about long term stays at each one and weigh it all up when you get home.
The winter rallies are good fun and very cheap. We stayed at La Manga last year for three weeks. It was my first taste of Spain and I wouldn’t want to be stuck round there for a year.

Hi Nora,
We have been on a few sites where the rally was taking place, Marjal Costa, Almafra to name two. We much prefer to do our own thing and rallies are not always cheaper. It could have been on Vilanova a couple of years ago where rallies were paying the equivalent of £14.50 and we were paying £11.50. We are dropping into La Manga in February to see friends who will be on the rally, our first time at La Manga as reviews don't make it sound nice, we'll see.
I don't believe joining rallies is the best way to see sites around Spain, take Marjal Costa for instance, the rally is tucked up away at the back of the site by itself so no real chance to meet other nationalities and get their tips and tricks, much the same at Vilanova and Albufeira. Very much 'little britains' within a large site

When I was on Los Gallardos a couple turned up towing a caravan, they had towed from Santander for a tidy sum for another couple. Anyway the other couple who had bought it in UK then turned up but knew absolutely nothing about caravanning, nothing. I set the caravan up for them including their brand new awning, as the day progressed their story came out, they had been renting an apartment in Mojacar but the heating turned out to be mega expensive, they had done their sums and it was cheaper to fly back, buy a caravan, have it towed out, sited and stay in it for 8 months than it was for the apartment. There is homework to be done to find what suits

Yes, there is indeed - the plus of the apartment of course is that it holds and probably increases in value where a mobile home and caravan just plummet to nothing over years.
