Within your price range, but a bit further south, perhaps, where we store our caravan there is space. It's nearer to Chateauroux, in a closed barn with the owner living on site. He has just opened up another barn for storage. If you email me at valdaathome at gmail.com (second at is the symbol) then I can give you details.
It's just too far to be 'doable' within a day from Yorkshire though, and we are toying with the idea of moving it a little bit further north.
If you can 'manage' in French, then you can search the Le Bon Coin website for 'Hivernage de caravanes' in the areas you want to look. I've just had a look and there's a place which may interest us for 190 euros a year literally just off the A28, between Neufchatel en Bray and Rouen - which is within a day's travel for us from Yorkshire.
We have stored in two different locations. As we always holidayed in the south we used to store it down near St Chinian. That worked well until we got tired of budget hotel chains for our overnight stops. We started to spend more, and then realised that we could move the caravan a bit further north and save the cost of one stopover. However, it's still a bit far for us and we always have to have a last night in a hotel. We have found some great ones, don't get me wrong, but the costs do mount up and if the caravan were nearer we could find campsites instead, which are considerably cheaper all round!
