Can I just double check with those in the know please.
We are not members, I have booked a ferry already next year and gather that I might be able to use my membership against it.
Separately we are going at Easter. We are cycling, no car/trailer, the fares are £216 plus 2 daytime cabins, one in the morning from the UK and one in the morning from France.
Looking at it it looks like I get 30% off the fares so £65, plus a free cabin from France (£31) and a half price cabin from the UK (£31/2=£15).
So, against the membership cost of £135 I will save £111 plus a breakfast allowance which means I will almost recover the cost on one trip.
Can someone have a look at what I think I will get and tell me if it looks right.
Thanks very much.

Well, I just phoned them because I have to anyway as one of our bikes is a tandem I had worked it out right, they will apply it to my £571 fare in May and we will probably do another trip in August. So a no brainer for us in 2016.
The chap told me to think about when I join as it needs to be valid when I travel but to be honest I can't see us not renewing it for £60 a year so I am not sure that is a consideration - presume there isn't anything else to think about in that regard.

Don't think you get breakfast unless you have an overnight cabin? However like you we are going to join having already made bookings but we are leaving it until later as we don't know whether we will renew for another year or not. Joining in May 2016 for us will mean we get 5 crossings in before the following summer.

I have joined, I saved £100 on the trip with bikes and £151 on our May trip so very worth it even before our Summer holiday (s). I can't imagine it won't be worth renewing at £60.
Shame you have to join a different club for the Spanish ferries.

Forgot to say that I think you are right about breakfast only being on overnight cabins, we have booked day cabins - sailing at 8am ish both ways so obviously will be buying breakfast.
Our May trip is on an Economie ship so no breakfast allowance there either!

Joined this year and saved a packet on two trips.
Not using BF this year so in a quandary about renewing.

hi paula, we have been members for a couple of years now, when we initially joined the customer service team advised booking the reservation for £35 deposit, but not joining the members club until a day before the final balance was due, if travelling in summer and booking the ferry now, the membership would start in summer and last for 12mths, thought this was very good advice, and the discounts were amended to include the 30% off the total price, plus my membership ran from july to july, instead of having to renew in November,

That is a really good idea Ben ..... I didn't think of that - would have saved me £15 I suppose as I need to pay in Feb and my membership runs til the end of Nov 2016.
I am fairly sure that we will renew though, or we might pay the £35 and swap to Spanish membership for a year.

I don't think you can swap between Spanish and French schemes, I think you start from scratch if you change.

You can 'ask' - which I would do if it suited me to:
In certain circumstances, at Brittany Ferries sole discretion, membership may be transferred between the two sections of Club Voyage for an administration fee of £35. All savings and benefits must be booked by the member prior to departure. Savings and benefits cannot be applied during a crossing and cannot be applied retrospectively. Savings do not apply to on board accommodation overnight.
