Just changed car, so removed the ATMB Tag to put in the new windscreen, taking the tag off however has rendered the very sticky "jelly" unusable for the new car.
I suppose a piece of double sided tape would do the job, but any other methods of sticking it back?
Any ideas gratefully received. Would rather have it stuck than loose and waved at the booths......
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We got some spare Tag mounts from one of the APPR office's on one of the autoroutes services, no charge.
The mounts are all the same, so ATMB, APRR or SANEF it makes no difference.
Hardly worth trying to put a used Tag mount back in place, some meths etc will remove all the sticky residue, and you can get the adhesive that is used to mount rear view mirrors to the windscreen, but that would be a fath as you may need one of those sonic tools to make the adhesive set.
Ordering online is probably the best solution, maybe only around 3€ including postage.
The sticky pads you get for putting number plates on will do the trick, just cut to size.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Thanks all. I didn't get a spare as such, I did end up with 2, as the first didn't arrive, and they sent another..... Unfortunately though, when emptying the previous car I binned it! What a numpty, didn't realise the tag slid out......... Will log in and get new I think.
Good to hear one turned up. I left it too late to order another and ended up using a no more nails sticky pad. It has stuck very well but no idea if it will ever come off again.
