Just thought I'd pass on that I've learnt that this campsite is now under new ownership, and is now part of Camping Indigo.

Hope nothing changes too much, as we've booked in for summer on the strength of the reviews on here.

New ownership may bring improvements to what already sounds like a lovely site, fingers crossed.

So stand by for the arrival of a lot of statics, lodges and chalets , a lot more people in peak season, tour companies and their reps., and a lot more competition for sun loungers at the pool.

Reading their website, I should hope not...

"Our campsites don't have lots of mobile homes but instead have large numbers of 'traditional' camping pitches for people that love real camping, and all of the Indigo Campsites have canvas rental accommodation. THis is one of our favourite stop overs if we are going to the Bordeaux region...great place for a stop over.

Judging from their website, I would say not. Chantepie's website has altered to the Camping Indigo theme.

There are worse organisations than Indigo. I don't get the impression they go for the 'cram em in, flog em high' approach.

How many Indigo sites have you stayed at Berriow - not my understanding and experience of what Indigo offers. They do seem to be acquiring some strategic new sites all over

Too noisy from traffic on motorway, too many chalets, not very clean sanitaires
