Hello 😀
Last year we stayed near Cherbourg and found do much to do (museums, landing beaches, cite de la mer, mont st Michel...) throughout Normandy we're going back this year.
But we're also thinking of camping in Brittany (? Finistere) sometime this year. We're a family of 5 with young children. Is there much for us to do/see in Brittany please? Last year Barr 2 days we spent the week getting drenched 😀 We're prepared we may experience the same again 😀

We've also done cherbourg, probably at the same site, Anse du Brick but we had a two week heatwave. They did say it usually peed down.
Last year we went to Finistere near Benodet and there was lots to do. Ile Glenan, Quimper, Concarneau, Cider makers, biscuit factories. Weather was good. Only a thunderstorm at the end.
We stayed at le Helles in Combrit Sainte Marine and so avoided the crowds in Benodet.

Fab thanks! Haha yes, that's where we stayed and are going again. We were spoilt with the cleanliness and quiet evenings it makes it hard finding somewhere else, but other castels sites are very expensive- and some don't seem to live up to the same standards.
I'll have a google of the places you mentioned, Thankyou! (Especially the biscuit factory 😉, although what we thought was a chocolate factory on our last trip turned out to be an expensive caramel shop!)

As Ewen suggests there is plenty to do in Southern Brittany. And a choice of beaches you can find long sandy ones as well as more cove like beaches. We particularly like Plage de Rospico which is close to Nevez. There are some really good campsites in the area it depends what you are looking for. As a cheap campsite but with a pool http://www.campingduvieuxverger.com/ was a particularly good choice. We like small sites. No café here but various vans visited during the week, crepes, pizzas and I think moules frites. Benodet is certainly set up for tourists and there are some excellent cafes and restaurants. We now stay regularly at http://www.camping-pennarster.com/ whilst it is a lovely quiet site in the centre of La Foret Fousenant it may not prove so good with young children. Again no café on site but walking distance of a bar, two restaurants, a boulangerie and small supermarket. The village is half way between Benodet and Concarneau with it's walled city. Pont Aven is not too far away - amazing patisserie and attached café. Further south you have Carnac which is worth a visit but I got put off because we've stayed there twice, once for a fortnight and it poured most of the time. However I would recommend the site that we stayed on http://www.lemoustoir.com/ quite pricey these days but really well run. And as for the café/restaurant superb food and reasonable prices.
Good luck.
