ADAC for us. It covers two cars a caravan and a motorbike here and abroad. All for under £90 a year.
Crucially for someone who bikes in Europe it would get my wife and bike home if I was incapacitated. They even include medical repatriation.
Why would I consider anyone else.

We've been ADAC members for two years and not had to use them yet, but I worry about situations such as breaking down on UK motorway and usimg the roadside phone to ask for a call to Munich... Anyone any experience of this?

On paper their membership is amazing for the price I just worry about actually getting hold of them in an emergency.

Maybe something to consider with ADAC is, how good is their repatriation of your vehicle if you need it.

Repatriation of vehicle is one of the choices open to the breakdown cover provider depending on the circumstances of the breakdown & not the choice of the driver necessarily. One needs to read the small print very carefully on any breakdown insurance.

has quoteline gone out of faver for breakdown cover? used them for a few years after recommendations from here but nobody mentions them now.

Company car driver, so with VW Leasing we get continental breakdown down cover, which includes Tent, Caravan and Trailer cover.

And costs me nowt, like the car, so Happy Days!

Oh to still be a wage slave at 56!

Current planned retirement at 100!
