We are arriving in Boulogne at 23.35!!( en route to the Vendee)

We have a large tent (i.e. not the sort you want to put up at that time of night for one night) and I presume that it will be too late to check into a hotel at that time.

Does anyone know of anywhere we could safely park to get a couple of hours sleep in the car before setting off in the morning? ( Somebody kindly provided this info for someone at Calais a little while ago).

Thanks for your help

Vicci

Hiya Vicci,

Have you tried an Etap hotel or a formule 1 hotel, both are fully automated so there would be no problem arriving late. We,ve booked in the formule 1 hotel and it's only costing £25 for a family room and breakfast for three of us. You can book online via Accorhotels at http://https://secure.accorhotels.com/accorhotels/index.html

Just put boulogne in the search and it will come up with the hotels there,  they are all quite cheap and it certainly beats waking up with the handbrake sticking in your back

I agree with Tosker, there is a Formule 1 at Boulogne. If you book on-line, when you arrive, at the door is an automated entry system. Select the English option!! You put the credit card in you paid with, and it recognises your booking, gives you the entry code for the hotel and your room. Voila, as they say. There are no keys required. You can stay until 12. If you turn up without booking, you go through the same process, but pay with your card at the door, providing there is a room free. The price is shown for a room which will sleep 3 people.

Hi there, I agree with the rest, we have booked the Etap hotel and it has the same entry system as the Formule 1 hotels, brekkie is cheap so well worth having.
