Hi there,
I can highly recommend La Garangeoire in the Vendee.
We will be returning there in July for the 3rd year in a row with our 17, 15 and 10 year old daughters. They absolutely love it there and wouldn't hear of us trying somewhere different this year.
It's part of the Les Castels group and is a fabulous campsite - great size pitches, spotless facilities, every amenity and a superb programme of activities. It's approx 15km inland from the nearest beach and approx 25 mins from Les Sable d'Olonne. For us it's approx 4 - 4.5 hours drive from Cherbourg.
They have a range of pre-erected tents (safari tents), some more luxurious than others, eg with separate bedrooms, bathrooms, etc or just with EHU and furniture. I'm not sure which are managed by the campsite or by Canvas/Eurocamp, etc. But I would start by contacting the campsite directly. They have excellent English, are very helpful and are great to respond to emails.

La Val de Vie is in the pretty village of Machè, on the Lac d' Apremont, with its lakeside beach. 20 mins away is the lovely seaside town of St Gilles Croix de Vie, with its Grande Plage & quaint old seaside houses.
Just outside the village of Apremont,where the plage du lac is, near the pretty Loire - style Chateau, is a quiet campsite called Les Charmes.
The whole area is very pretty, I feel that St Gilles has more old world charm than Jard or Les Sables, they're a bit too big for us. The weather in the Vendee tends to be better & more reliable than in Brittany, but if you want guaranteed wall to wall heat, keep going south.
