Is anyone going to Italy this year? Starting with Conca d'Oro, Lake Maggiore 8th to 20th August, the camping Florenz, Comacchio 20th to 29th Camping Fontenelle, Lake Garda 29th to 1st September the La Riva, Lake Como 1st to 5th Sept (Italian Grand Prix) Thats after a week at Jungfraublick, Interlaken 31st July to 8th August.
Pra´ delle Torri (http://www.pradelletorri.it) mid August for 2 weeks - flying to Venice then picking up a hire car. Staying in a mobile home with Canvas
Year, the Squirrels are going to Italy, too, in September - flying, hiring a car and staying in an olive farm. Mrs Squirrel's excuse? She's towed the *!!^&$£!* van everywhere and deserves a week in rented accommodation, which she'll hate and, ergo, will love to tow the van again!!
If anyone is looking for a site near Venice, try and get in Union Lido. Think it would need booking in advance. 50th anniverary this year I think so it is bound to be busy.
Was there last year and can highly recommend it, went by coach and had an air conditioned mobile home (it were 'ot). Voted best campsite in Europe for quite a few years.
Just down the road from pra'delle torri. Nice looking site as well. (Not sure why I've gone all italics!!)
