Checked the SD card packaging that came with the car and the maps do cover Europe but the card is 'write protected' which renders it locked.
May look into downloading Archies onto a mobile phone in preparation of our trip.
There is a small slider switch on the side of sd cards. If you slide it across it should undo the write protect as thats whats its there for.
We use a tom tom with smart traffic routing which works very well.It gets the traffic updates via the charging cable with no subscriptions for this or map updates. They only charge for speed camera updates with this model, which i im not fussed about. Im hardly going to be going nuts speed wise towing a trailer tent.
