Aldi have the Garmin 56LMT EU Sat Nav on offer at £79.99 from tomorrow, I got the previous model 55LMT from Aldi back in May 2015 and it was brilliant for use in France during July.
Not worked out, what the difference is between the two models, but this latest offering must have something over the previous model you would think.

Yep, same as last year, the only difference I can see on this 56LMT model is that it has all Europe mapping, not just Western Europe that my 55LMT has, so I guess that is a bonus.

Thanks for posting this Francais. We already have a Garmin with Europe maps which we think is brilliant and never go to France without it !! Ours is about 5 years old and we were just about to replace it.
I've been into our local Aldi and got the newer one they are selling and it's a great price.
To anyone toying with the idea of getting a satnav I would highly recommend this one.

We bought the Garmin last year from Aldi and it is a great pit of kit. At one stage in Burgundy we were looking for a Lidl to buy some wine that they had on offer, just put `Lidl` in the POI section and were shown all the nearest branches. I suspect they work by magic.

My Son (31) who is in the motor trade, just got an ex-display Garmin for £50, it had been in a glass display cabinet for around 4 months so is in pristine condition, c/w box and all the bits.
I have to admit it does put my model to shame, especially as it has a 6" Glass Screen, not to mention built in Dash Cam and Powered Magnetic Mount, a truly awesome bit of kit.
With a bit of luck I will get to borrow it, next time we go to France, the "Dash Cam" footage will be good to look back on.

I bought one this morning bargain,similar if not the same one in Argos is over 100 quid.
They also had a motorhome satnav for £199, if that is like the one sold by the 2 clubs for around £250+ its a bargain!
I assume its the one you program your vehicle dimensions in and has all the campsites aires etc!
My 8 year old nuvi 1690 died, would not switch off and when the battery went flat would not power up on 12v socket or show when connected to a pc!
Tried various ways suggested after a google search, but no joy, so its been recycled.
New one connected to laptop having been registered and is now updating!
