This Office at Regensburg was set up to deal with Brits some 4/5 years ago. I was actually in there 2 weeks ago and this still stands.

DiPhil, May I ask what exactly is your link with ADAC if you visit their offices? Is it in any way a commercial relationship?
No it isn't a commercial relationship at all. It is because we have become friends with two of the girls in the office there.
This started when we first joined ADAC after not being able to get cover for our 8 metre caravan with a UK organization for a reasonable price. When we first joined it was very difficult to get any info in English and payments had to be made by Fax every year.
I asked the Head Office we then dealt with if there was an easier way for Brits to join and had a reply back saying they would be setting up the Office in Regensburg for all Brits to contact and join as the staff speak English very well. They gave me Amanda's name and Telephone number to contact which I have given to anyone interested in joining ADAC. Amanda tells me if anything new that happens which is useful.
This Office has the ability to take Credit Cards, which not all ADAC Office have, this is due to the Germans not being allowed to pay by Credit/Debit Card so was set up for the Brits as Bank transfer was not available to us then and is now expensive.
Since first contacting Amanda at the beginning I have been in contact a lot asking questions for interested folks wanting to join plus renewing our Subs every year by card.
As Regensburg is not out of our way travelling to Austria each year at first thought it would be nice to visit the Office and meet the girls I was speaking too. Therefore it has been a regular visit to say hello, learn of any changes I can pass on and buy our Austrian Vignette for the next day.
Hope this is all clear to you. I know when I wanted info on ADAC it was given to me on a Forum by a German Member and two other Brits it was so helpful I thought it would be nice to pass on my experience to help others.
