We are heading to Costa Brava in late August, and would like a nice campsite to stay at.
Criteria as follows
Walking distance to beach (say max of a mile)
Small site, we don't need entertainment etc
Nice views if possible
Cheap - really don't want to be spending €50+ a night
If anyone has any little gems, it would be great to hear about them.
Somewhere arounds Roses area would be perfect.
Thanks,
Ed
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Try Mas Nou at Empuriabrava. Smallish site by Spanish standards, all the entertainment/sports/restaurant/ noise area is across a quiet road. Campsite has large(ish) pitches, immaculate sanitary blocks continually being cleaned and polished, free wifi and will
take Camping Cheques in the period you will be there.
Fantastic new cycle paths around the town and to Roses which is about 30 minutes by bike on flat "voie vertes".
Buy your cheques from France, before May 31,and they are only €15 or under £12
Hi we drive down to Spain every year and stay a site called Camping Playa Brava, it is a campsite on the beach (access through a gate).
There are local cycle routes, towards the end of August it starts getting much quieter.
Worth a look for you I think.
