Hi Before going back to get the Caen ferry we need to find a campsite near by for four nights can anyone recommend a site please 2 adults early 60's we would like to visit the surrounding area.

There is a campsite in Ouistreham 5 minutes from the ferry, or further out towards Caen ther is Les Hautes Coutures which is on the side of the canal.
There is also a municipal in Caen itself,plus a couple of others in surrounding villages.
We have not been that way for many years as the Brittany Ferry is too expensive.

We stayed at cote de nacre about 20 min away lovely site we used acsi card and only paid 18 euros a night with electric.

Camping Le Brevedent is fairly handy and is well placed for visiting Honfleur and Deauville.

At present we are on a site La Roseraie d'Omaha and it is very nice. It is about 28 miles from Caen and fairly central to the beaches and WW2 attractions. We arrives yesterday and found the owners are very helpful. There is a restaurant and bar on site plus a heated swimming pool. Downside for some is that it is very quiet.
