I'd be grateful of any suggestions f campsites with a pool on route to Doussard from Calais.

What time are you leaving Calais and how far do you intend to travel before you break the journey? Do you intend to overnight or stay longer?

I always get an early morning tunnel so am on the road in France at 7am. I don't tow a van or trailer so going down that side of France I would be aiming to use the municipal at Beaune - although it hasn't a pool.

We'll be catching the 6.20/7.30am ferry from Dover. We'll be towing a small trailer. Looking for a few stops on the way. We've got 7 nights before we need to arrive at Doussard.

Camping Lac d'Orient near Troyes has a lot of good reviews on here and is about half way between Calais and your destination.

Depending on where we start from - we sometimes overnight at the outlaws in Bedfordshire - we have stopped at Troyes & Macon while going to the Alps & Annecy areas. Both have pools.

This municipal at Beaune seems highly rated, just South of Dijon.

if you have that long to travel why not consider the toll free rout through Belgium, Luxembourg, Metz, Nancy and across the bottom of Switzerland.

We did this route in our motorhome a few years ago - only added a couple of extra hours driving time but was a very pleasant drive.

- unfortunately other than one campsite in Neauf chateaux on the way home we stopped at motorhome aires so cannot help with camp sites.

- ,We may well head back down to Doussard and Annecy this year as we loved the area,
