We have been through the floods. We travelled back from the Aude to near to Orleans for an overnight Chambre d'Hote, to find all roads blocked! The campsites at Salbris, Nouan les Fuzelier, and LaMotte Beuvron all appear to be under water, and most of the roads in the area are 'Route Barree'. Somehow we managed to get through a Route Barree sign at Ferte St Aubin and on to he right road, for our small village. This seemed to be the only one in the area which was on higher ground, and only one section had flooded. It's really really bad, and very scary to drive through.
However, we tried to ring when we were already an hour late, to find really poor reception so I left a message, which was cut off part way through. The lady couldn't understand my call, but realised it might be related to the flood, and she phoned booking.com. They phoned me to check where we were, and said they would ring her to say we were trying to get there............ and they did! Impressive service from booking.com! Well done.
