Is anyone in the black forest at the moment and able to update on the weather. We are due to drive down from zeebruge at the weekend possibly stopping in Luxembourg overnight. If the roads are flooded etc maybe we should be thinking of a plan B. Not sure at this stage what plan B would be. I will email the campsite later and ask for an update.

We are currently in Freiburg, been here since Sunday. First 2 days rain then sun on tues and wed yesterday the best day, rained all night but just cloudy today. Been out on our bikes all day. All roads and sites are perfectly ok. We move down to constance tomorrow morning. Forecast is mixed until next Tuesday/Wednesday when it gets better. I must just say, the weather has not stopped us enjoying ourselves and it really is beautiful here very much like Switzerland. Enjoy your stay. J x
Just a point to add. BBC weather said thunderstorms and rain today. So far about 5pm there has not been a drop so I would take their forecast with a pinch of salt as they have been wrong every day since we left the uk.

Thanks for the replies. I had checked the weather forecast and it did look constant storms. I feel reassured now that it may not be as bad as I was anticipating. We are staying at badenweiler so not that far from Freiburg. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.
We've just retuned early from Prumtal camping in Oberweis because of constant rain. Such a shame as the campsite is fantastic. Clearly, it's higher up than you are going but they told us a website - wetteronline.de - for the forecast. There is a 24 hour rain map on there which was pretty spot on. It would give you an idea of current weather maybe. I hope you have a great trip.
