Once we have been for the first time I thinking it will be no problem, someone told me that if you get the ferry late at night when its not busy at all it can be way cheaper, but lots to look into, just aswell we have a year to plan it, probably building it up in my head more than it is. Never been out the country in my mear 43 year of life.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

You will have a lovely time. Drive from Glasgow to Portsmouth in one go (7 -8 hours) supper in Portsmouth then overnight ferry to Caen. Get a cabin. Then wake up in France with a 6-7 hour trip, you could go as far as Royan. The driving is easy and the planning is fun. Enjoy

Anyone have an alternative route around Paris from Le Havre? We are heading to Cote d'Azur next year. Need to avoid the A86 tunnel as we will exceed 2m restriction!

Thank you.
