We are looking for a family friendly (children aged 11 & 9) campsite on the west coast of France with a sand beach walkable (closer the better).
Obviously good toilet, shower and washing facilities would be essential but we aren't too fussed about having lots of other facilities. A good playground for children of the age mentioned would be good. Some trees and shade would be nice to have.
Been looking at Camping St Jean de Monts Coté Plage as an option but don't seem to be any reviews on here.

HI there, you might be better off posting this in the Camping Abroad section. Hopefully admin will see this and move it for you.
There are lots of really lovely campsites on the westcoast of France. I really love Brittany but if you want better weather you could head to the Vendee or further to Royan.
Ocean D'or is a really lovely campsite, on the beach, small town with cafes to walk too, good pools and play areas.
You could also try Loree du bois which is cycle ride to beaches. You could also consider the Ile Doleron, which is lovely, great beaches, great cycling and pretty good weather.

Missus is keen to find a place where the tide doesn't go out too far. Seems to vary with the lie of the land. She wants somewhere that you can still go in the sea even when the tide is out.
Have a look at Les Ecureils at St Hilaire de Riez, it's a smallish site with a nice pool complex (small slide, lazy river etc), good sized pitches with the beach right across the road. It's close to St Giles Croix de Vie and St Jean de Monts and we've have a good few holidays there.
If you're not bothered about a fantastic pool complex, then Camping Bel at La Tranche Sur Mer is also lovely...you can walk to the beach and the town.
St George de Didonne near Royan is nice.
Ideal camping, l'ocean and Bois Soleil have everything you want and some lovely heat, sunshine, beaches and things to do for families.
It looks like a lovely site.
St Gilles is a really nice seaside town. On the Croix de Vie side, there is a great market on a Friday morning; it's big & a real bustle of local produce. On the St Gilles side, there is a cute little evening market along the front & round the back to the square in front of the church.
The Grand Plage is a fabulous beach, there's the busy bit in front of the promenade, or a quieter part to the left by the sand dunes.
Apremont is a pretty local visit, with its old Chateau, river and swimming lake with beach.
Have a good holiday!

We stayed at Les Ecureils a couple of year ago, lovely site, small enough the our boys (9&11 at the time) could go off by themselves and make friends. The beach is a short stroll across the road and over the dunes. Really friendly staff on site. Nice & clean.
