We are planning to head for Annecy soon.
We would like to do 2 stops going and 2 coming back on a different route back to the one going.
Does anyone have ideas for the stop offs, interesting places or lovely scenic areas to look at.
I don't have a clue so am hoping there are a few of you who have a good knowledge of France that would be happy to share with me.
Thanks in advance
Sue.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
In no particular order, Epernay, Troyes, Chatillon sur Seine, Vermenton, Dijon, Beaune, Lons Le Saunier, Chatillon sur Chalaronne, Besancon. and even a day in Paris. Have a good trip.
The whole thing about camping in France is that you don't need to have any set plan about where to stop for the night. Even if you haven't got a camp site guide (such as Camping Cheque or ACSI) whenever you have had enough driving or you find a nice area, you will always see a camp site adertised on a sign post.
Just go, don't rush and enjoy the country.

And right you are too, Berrow! Those are all interesting places.
What I was trying to get over was that, to my mind anyway, it spoils the fun of touring if you feel you must stop at a particular site or place. Puts too much pressure on the driver.
