we often go to Spain (Andalusia) in autumn half term late october/november. its always warm enough (low 20s) and we spend days on the beach. not sure how the weather changes as you head east. the sea is always warm though at that time of the year.

Hmm if the Euro keeps dropping against the Sterling we may have a rethink bout travelling in October.
You mean if sterling keeps falling against the Euro. Tell me about it, I am off to France in 2 weeks. France never was cheap anyway, not compared to Spain. Looks like we will be eating "bread and dripping" whilst out there.
But hey it's what the majority (52%) wanted. ( I am still proud to be in the minority). We are now the 6th richest economy having been overtaken by the French who have our 5th position.
Still it beats sitting in some uk campsite in the cold wind and rain.

We have just returned from Bonterra Park and there was a notice in reception saying they regretted they could not accept twin axle caravans. If you are planning on going there I would certainly check with them first. The pitches are a good size but access to them can be tight.
Caravan Club website states no outfits over 8m.
How was it for shady pitches jg, when we were there last November they had thinned out a lot of the trees apart from the back two rows, are the pitches still very sunny 😎 Which is what we like.
Most pitches had a mixture of sun and shade. It was hot when we were there so we looked for shade but it would be different in November. We certainly had no problem finding sun if we wanted it.

Strange as ACSI states that they can accept twin axle caravans?
Just sent them a email as we were looking to go there next May . They confirmed that they do not allow twin axle vans . Very disappointing as we were looking forward .

I have heard there is a good site at Cambrils, south of Taragona but have no experience of it. Sorry.
Do you know the name of it? Thanks.
IŽve been in Cambrils a couple of times with dogs, I believe there is a dog-friendly beach called "Playa Riera dŽAlforja, Cambrils" I think October is a good month to visit, not so crowed and still you can have some good weather, whenever someone asks me I always recommend Cambrils and Costa Dorada as a camping destination.
