Folks,

Just a quick note to see if anyone has stayed overnight at the A20 premier inn before boarding the following day, and whether there is ample parking for towing vehicles? I have an FC.

I stay in premier inn's fairly regularly and almost all have good parking. However I have a this nagging fear that I will arrive a find there is no room!

We do Dover - Dunkerque and always our first overnight stop is Dunkerque side.

We did once use the Premiere inn at Wateringbury which is not that far from Dover, never again though, apart from loosing us a day in travel time, I much prefer the secure gated and fenced car parks of the "Premiere Classe" budget hotels and alike, especially as we are towing.

Can you email the hotel to ask if they will have space?   It's always a worry in British hotel car parks, which never seem to have the same number of parking spaces as they do rooms.

If they say no, then Francais's suggestion of an evening crossing, and a night on the French side, is a sensible one.

Yep, Val at the Premiere inn Wateringbury they advised me to park the car c/w trailer in the disabled bay at the front entrance to the hotel, as that part of the car park was well lit and directly in view of the security cameras.

I wonder why that was!

hi kevimarr, we always use the premier inn or Travelodge at eureka leisure park at ashford, straight off jcn 9 on the m20, its a large retail park with loads of eateries, cinema, and loads of parking for your fc,from here half an hour to dover port, we have always worried like yourself about parking with the f c, this place ticks every box, just check which is the cheapestfor your stay, premier inn or Travelodge, they are next to each other, cheers, paul.

Must admit Paul the only time we were round Eureka Leisure Park, the parking looked as tight as a Gnats chuff, mind you it was a Saturday night.

Thank you all for your help looks like I got the parking sorted by ringing them up and I've swapped over to the hotel nearer the dock. Happy hols everyone
