We are - we're retired! This year we've 'been on holiday' (or we would call it living in France) since March. We had a week in February before that! We had one month at home in June, then back in early July and we shall be going home on the 23rd September or thereabouts!

Mondial is just along from l'Ardechois but cheaper...it was recommended to us by Val A. We have been going for three years now and really love it. It's very friendly and they seem to have been making improvements every year, for example ANPR on the gate so it automatically lifts for you, wi-fi available on all pitches, new shower block this year (with showers you can change the temperature of!) It's a good mix of tents, caravans, campers and a few chalets, in a great location, and having walked on the river towards Provencal and l'Ardechois this year we think the actual river accessibility from Mondial is much better than at the other two.

We've never used it to be fair, although we've had pizzas from the takeaway and they were fine. We tend to only eat out a couple of times, so it's more of an evening out, so we tend to walk to Vallon if we're eating out. I'm not sure, but I think you can use the restaurant at l'Ardechois even if you're not at their site, as they put the board out by the road, but I could be wrong.
Not the cheapest, but there was a pleasant restaurant on site which didn't take the mickey on prices, a pool, and access to the river which was deep enough for swimming. Really clean sanitaires and mix of very shady pitches but all with trees/bushes and not too large. The location was great for days out up and down the Ardeche but less busy than it might be staying in the hotspots. OK, so there's not a village within 10 minutes walk, but the tranquility was appealing. C
Canoeing was within a short car ride, ditto chateaux, lovely river bathing spots and scenery that made me go 'ooh'.

Stayed at Mondial this August. We really enjoyed it. Very friendly, helpful staff and facilities very clean and modern. With regards to the restaurant, we used it on the first night and the food /service was good. It has more of a snack bar feel to it than a restaurant. Offers pizzas, burgers, chicken, steaks and salads from memory. Always seemed to be people in eating when ever we went past. Saw lots of people use it as a take away. We walked most evenings into Vallon (15 mins slow walk) with our sons and sampled a range of restaurants. Very nice atmosphere in the evening with bars, shops and restaurants. Most evenings there is entertainment in the town square which was free to watch/listen to. As others have said there are lots of nice sites. Mondial for us was in a perfect position on the river with access to lots of the local attractions. Traffic not as bad as we expected it to be. We used the free bus outside the site to Pont d Arc beach which avoided the hassle of the car park and runs regularly.
