http://www.lebalcondelabaie.com/en/camping.html is open until 31st October, close to the main road to St Marlo and is a simple tow in and out

I would be very surprised if that is a hard and fast rule and maybe something has been lost in translation, as I admit that is how it appears on the website.
I think I would email them to check to see if you can just turn up late September for one night.
It does look lovely.

We stayed here in May. Absolutely fine for one night. Not sure if it is near enough St Malo for you.

The minimum booking is only 7 nights if you want a specific pitch, you can just turn up and stay

Whether you go there or one of the other sites listed nearby you certainly don't need to book anywhere in France in late September.

Ther eis a site in Dinan not far from Saint Malo and it si highly recommended. I cannot recall the name but something like Hallositis?

We stayed at the Le Petits Bois for two nights this year... on the way back to the Ferry Port..
Really enjoyed it.. so going to make it for Nights next Summer..

The aire du campingcars is Les Ilots at Rothéneuf. Shame, it used to be a really nice Muni. But lucky for you as it's open till Nov 14th

Les Hallerais in Dinan. We stayed here before catching morning ferry at 10.30. Nice easy drive in about 25 mins.
