We are going on holiday and need to stay in St Malo on our return but I have just found out that the municipal site in St Malo closes its season on the 12 September and we need to book for the 21st! Can anyone please help with alternatives.

We just need to get to the ferry but as we like St Malo we were hoping to take advantage of staying there. But if there is no Aire in St Malo that is open in September this looks like a suitable option.

Just checked out their website and they say minimum booking 7 nights - shame because it looks great.
I would be very surprised if that is a hard and fast rule and maybe something has been lost in translation, as I admit that is how it appears on the website.
I think I would email them to check to see if you can just turn up late September for one night.

The minimum booking is only 7 nights if you want a specific pitch, you can just turn up and stay

Hiya....we always stay at Le Petits Bois which is in St Jouan de Guerets just on perimeter of St Malo. Thet gave us a local map with highlighted route to Port. 10 mins. It's very busy in summer but will have slowed down now. Worth a try... it's only one night after all.

Whether you go there or one of the other sites listed nearby you certainly don't need to book anywhere in France in late September.

We stayed at the Le Petits Bois for two nights this year... on the way back to the Ferry Port..
Really enjoyed it.. so going to make it for Nights next Summer..
