Use Skyscanner.net and it will give you a choice of departure and arrival airports. EasyJet from Luton looks to be the cheapest but there are all sorts of options from around £85 return per person to Split.

As said if you look on Skyscanner there are flights to Zagreb, Rijeka, Dubrovnick, Zadar, Split, Osijek and Pula.
The cheapest are Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Split, Zadar and Zagreb. The best one very much depends on which part of Croatia you want to go to.
Flights to Zagreb, the capital, are usually the cheapest but it is inland and quite a way from the coast and probably not much good for you unless you relish a long bus ride. Pula is good for the Istrian peninsular.
Rijeka is one of their transport hubs and has good road connections to the rest of the coast. There are buses and ferries that run from there to Pag and Dubrovnik.
Zadar is the nearest to Pag. There are buses and ferries to Pag from there.
Split is the hub of ferries to along the coast and to the most of the islands, but not Pag, so far as I know. However there are Split- Pag buses a couple of times a day or you could get a bus from Split to Zadar then bus or ferry to Pag.
Dubrovnik is in the very south of the country and quite a drive to the other parts of it as you have to pass through a short corridor through Bosnia if travelling by road, though this is not a problem. If that is your destination then a direct flight to Dubrovnik would be best. However there are buses and ferries that run from most of the big coastal towns and islands to Dubrovnik.
There are no trains from Dubrovnik to the rest of the country, as we discovered a long time ago when backpacking. In fact my first ever experience of air travel was between Dubrovnik and Split as I hadn't realised this before setting off and we had a train home to catch!
We've travelled all over Croatia since the early 70s (when it was part of Yugoslavia). It's a beautiful country well worth visiting. We've travelled by public transport as well as car and campervan. My advice would be to decide on where you want to go and then work out the transport links from the airport(s) of your choice to your final destination to make sure your journey is doable and what the options are. There are online timetables for both ferries and buses to help you do this.
Good luck.

We drove there this summer! Left Dover Friday morning and spent Friday night in Leuven, Belgium, Saturday in Nuremberg, Germany, Sunday night in Zabok , very top of Croatia then down to Dubrovnik on Monday!! Loved having the car -- the only British car we spotted!

Easyjet flies to Split from Belfast so probably from other airports as well.Probably only in the Summer season. We loved Croatia and Split is worth a visit in its own right but Trogir is beautiful also.
