I'm looking to book a 2017 summer holiday, camping, with my wife and two girls who will be 3 and 5.
End of August
From Roscoff
Want pool, kids club, best weather possible
We've been to the Vendee and stayed in static caravans before, and had a great time. We automatically started looking in this region as it feels like you should be near the sea on holiday, but is there more choice or a better chance of good weather if we go more inland?
Any thoughts or advice appreciated!
Thanks..

The vendee is fab if you want sea, a little further south towards Ile De Re or Ile dOleron or Royan, becomes much more scenic, with great beaches and good weather.
If you like river swimming then head to the ardeche, the Dordogne or the Tarn gorges.
Further south again will take you to the Med
All lovely because after all you cannot beat France !
5 hrs from Roscoff puts you max south at around La rRochelle area so yes Vendee or just under La Rochelle around Roayan area may be worth a look. To be honest if sea and sand if important the Vendee does tick a lot of the boxes. Wetaher certainly not guaranteed but August should be warm and sunny for much of your time but like any coastal area (or any area in France to be honest) could change with an Atlantic front coming in.
Can;t help with site as you wants kids clubs etc and we have never visited somewhere with that but there is a huge choice for sure
Inland you are not guaranteed weather no but often is slightly warmer away from coastal breezes. Loire area is lovely but with young kids who like the sea and beach I wouldn't change your plans!
Camping Le Logis Du Breuil, Saint Augustine near Royan is fantastic, stopped over for a few nights on our way to Biarritz this year and loved it.
It is a little further perhaps, but worth it. It has a brand new pool complex which is great for kids.....and adults, this may not show on their website, I am not sure. There is even a nice zoo nearby, and great beaches.
👍👍😀😀
Good luck.

Have you ruled out sites a lot closer to Roscoff ? I'm especially thinking of Brittany, around Benodet or Carnac, both of which are well geared up for children and also have a lot of places to see nearby.
