We are intending to travel to Bay of Rosas in Northern Spain in September - we have 4 weeks to use - traveling from Caen Normandy. We've looked at routes via the usual Google sites and great confusion over which is the best option. We don't want to spend a great deal of time in France and would rather get to Spain in a few days. Have a motorhome so suggestions of best routes would be much appreciated.

If you are in a hurry then Caen, Le Mans, Tours, Bourges, Clermont Ferrand, Narbonne, Spain is Motorway almost all the way and Class 2 tolls will be about 120 euros one way. Two days across France is possible and three days quite gentle. Take care.

Not sure where the Bay of Rosas is in Northern Spain, Atlantic side or Med? However, last June, we went from Caen to Andorra with a Car & 2 motorbikes on a trailer in about 13 hours. As Berriow says, it's mostly motorway. We did Caen, Le Mans, Tours, Poitiers, Limoges, Brive-la-Gaillarde, Toulouse then on into Andorra. One thing that did surprise me was that the return Ferry from Bilbao was only £50 more than the outbound one to Caen! That's the quickest way to Northern Spain
