They seem to have been having some really bad weather in Spain this winter. There were serious floods in Marbella and Murcia before Christmas, and I've just seen some pictures on Facebook of thick snow in Valencia and on the beach at Denia.
I hope anyone there at the moment is ok - when you go to Spain for the winter you don't tend to take many winter clothes or boots!

Just left Almeria where its been 15-18 degrees and blue skies for the last 5 days.
Now nearer Malaga, its much colder today and the odd shower, campsite owner tells us forecast is 2 days cold then warms up again for the weekend - fingers crossed
Near Cadiz, wall to wall sunshine since mid Dec but had a bitterly cold wind today, rain expected overnight and tomorrow, then back to sunshine. Mid twenties during the day and about 8 at night.
Whatamess, el rocio is a nice site BUT watch the kerbs at the pitches, check the location of the hook up, my pitch was nearly 50 metres away from the nearest and check wifi reception before buying lots of days worth for your pitch, it's free at the restaurant though, enjoy cowboy town.
We are at Bonterra Park Benicassim. Rain started around 1-00pm yesterday and was non stop developing in to a continuous thunderstorm until about 9-00 am this morning. One horrendous clap about 4-15 in the night immediately overhead which stirred a few in the local cemetery. A brief respite for breakfast and toilet emptying duties but looks as though it's going to start again and continuing into this evening. At least the new van is getting a really good test for water ingress!!
Such a shame because we are in the midst if the town festival fortnight with the fantastic Paella Day due to take place today. Guess they've postponed or cancelled it.
Weather looking better for next week however

------------- Mother Nature always wins in the end.
Had we been able to book a pitch we would have arrived at Bonterra Park 4 days ago, thankfully in hindsight we couldn't and after two chilly days here it is back to a warm sunny day. Still no wet stuff since mid Dec and long may it last. Seems the east is taking a battering this year.

We've just left La Sierrecilla at Humilladero in heavy snow. Heading to El Rocio, south west of Seville, and it looks like it's brighter over there.
Nora
How quick it changes though - are in the village next door to Humilladero, Fuente De Piedra -at a small campsite, the sun is out and its blue skies, cooler than the coast but very spring like and not a hint of snow today. We will also be heading to El Rocio early next week, the forecast looks good until Thursday at the moment.
We're at El Rocio now. It was beautiful here this morning but clouded up and cooled down a lot about lunchtime. We're here until Thursday next week when we go on to Portugal. We're on pitch 99. Pop over and say hello.
Well the outlaws are telling us they have had snow sleet and hail today in Valencia city with two foot of snow not far outside of the city in the foothills. Who knows for the first time in 36 years I may see flowing water in their brand new river they built all those years ago when we fly over soon
