Anyone been there ? Looking for this year and wondered what it was like ?
family with kids age 14 and 11.
Tent 7 man frame, car, gazebo ? Would the pitches be big enough ?
Thanks
Richard
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Where is Le Jard in Vendee? i went to Jard sur mer last summer if it helps?
i stayed in L'oceano D'or, a nice site with good facilities. close to the town and marina and beach to walk or bike to them. But looking on trip advisor it brings problems like locals walking about the site and local kids hanging around the club. i didnt use the club house in the evening so cant comment. only problems we did have was from the anti social behaviour of other guests who were of course brits. but i didnt really spoil the experience.
plenty to do in the general area, we are going back to a Yelloh! village site a few miles away this summer
looked on google maps and found camping Du Jard near tranch sur mer.

we actually went to Tranch-sur-mer for a look round when we were there in the summer.
there was some sporting event sponsored by pepsi and 7up going on in the car parks along the seafront.
there was also a sailing Lagoon next to the beach. the beach was sheltered as its adjacent the island Ile-de-re.
Tranch-sur-mer looked larger and more commercialized than Jard-sur-mer.
Yes the Yello! village site is somewhat more expensive than the Chadotel/eurocamp site we stayed at last year but i dont get many days off work so opted for the best possible experience with the few days i do get. we stayed at a Yelloh! site last year for 2 nights because it was near Roscof so convenient for the late arrival and early departure of the ferry. the site facilities were very impressive, a bit like the Centreparks but with an out door pool. looks like the Yello! in les Sables d'orlone (where we are staying this summer) has more indoor pools. we are also staying at the site near Roscof again this summer for a few more nights. and also staying for one night on the return mid way because the drive back was a long day due to traffic last year.

La Tranche Sur Mer is a great holiday resort, the town is compact and really nice.
The town beach is great, there is also a free bus that runs from the town to some of the beaches on the outskirts.
There are plenty of restaurants in the town and a very good market twice a week.
There are lots of options for taking part in water sports, if you like that kind of thing, we had windsurfing lessons at the lagoon.
We stayed in Camping Bel, which is a good site, you could park your car as everything is within walking distance.
