I rate the reviews on here quite highly, so please feel free to tell it like it is.
Too many reviews elsewhere review sites from the perspective of renting chalet / mobile homes from large operators and condemn the site for trivial reasons that are none of the site owners doing.
I have laughed aloud at the many reasons holidays were ruined that seemed trivial or absurd in the extreme.

La Croix du Vieux Pont at Berny Riviere (Champagne Ardennes region) is all-singing, all dancing.
How far north? Le Drancourt at St Valery sur Somme is about as north as you can get, then there's Les Mouettes, Le Grand Metaire in Brittany annd many others. Then a bit further south Les Alicourts at Pierrefitte sur Sauldrea in the Loire, and loads of others in that area. Really there are so many others, that it would help to narrow down your area a bit.

I'd be interested in recommendations as my son wants to go back to La Rive whilst it is a great site we did find the showers weren't that clean when we visited although it was out of season. It wouldn't matter this time as we could use our own shower in the van, my son loved the water park, kids club, skate park and entertainment.
We are thinking of Ty Nadan but because we go May/ June I am not sure about being further North because of the weather! (Yes I know you are never guaranteed the weather wherever you go but it's our hard earned yearly holiday and if I didn't get any sun whilst away I would be mightily peed off!)

Ty Nadan in Brittany appears to be popular. As does Les Clarys Plage in the Vendee.
Can't personally recommend as we prefer quiet parks.

Thanks guys, I'm looking at somewhere that's possible to drive to from Calais in 1 day which is why I was looking at more northern parts, we would like to stay a week there then drive down to la rive for the second week. Ill look at all of the recommendations so far, thanks guys. Ill also leave a review for la rive now

Try Le Tedey near Lacanau, its not the cost but it does have a HUGE lac.
The commercial buzz in Lacanau Ocean isn't far away, but the peace and quiet on Le Tedey is wonderful, especially if you get a pitch near along from the bar (far enough away from the beach volley ball which attracts a lot of noisy folk!).
