We are having hook up in France for the first time. It's 6A. Will this be ok for boiling a kettle, using ghds and running the dometic 3 way cooler? Not all at once I hasten to add 😃 Hoping some of you cleverer types can advise.
Thank you.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
As long as you don't have too much stuff that draws high currents running at the same time e.g. kettle, hair dryer, straighteners etc then you'll be ok. We have our 3 way fridge running constantly and boil the kettle or use the hair dryer etc and not had any issues. You just need to be sensible.
Hope this helps.

Our fridge is a Dometic RC1200 which consumes 85w at 240V, so the current drawn is 85w/240v = ~0.35 Amps. So you should be ok. As I said we have ours going solidly over two weeks and never had any issues. The problems arise with hair dryers and straighteners etc.

We holiday in France twice a year, and have our caravan fridge, plus a spare 'outside' fridge, and we have no problems running these and a hairdery OR a kettle at the same time. The only time we have had problems is when we inadvertently switch on a kettle at the same time as my hairdryer.
We have an aircon on the roof and use our appliances as per normal without any issue. If we did have it tripping we would have the hot water on gas as that is what probably draws the most.

We now only use the kettle for our hot water, as the water heater is under the rear dinette which we use as a double bed. It is much too hot in bed with the heater on.
