Just starting to plan our trip towards Chamonix. Can anyone give me a rough idea of road toll costs from Dover to Chamonix for car only please? I'm not bothered about paying them just want to budget, the quickest route being the best for us. I've looked online but confused.

The short answer is 80 euros each way if you take the usual all motorway route.The more detailed answer is for you to use the ViaMichelin website which will give you the figures for alternative routes. There are many possibilities. Some are free.

Another vote for Via Michelin........it even tells you where all the toll barriers are and exactly what the cost is at each one.
