Hi does anyone by chance know where the private sanitary facility pitches are located please? I have read some reviews that the site can be difficult to traverse with a big caravan. We are planning to get a private sanitary pitch if poss so would like to know if we are going to struggle with our twin axle?
Thanks

Sorry, not my sort of site, though there is a detailed site plan on line if you have your pitch numbers, though for €120 a night for a family for those pitches in the summer I would hope that they would lay a red carpet and escort you safely in. Good luck.
Hi thanks Berriow but doesn't seem to indicate on the site plan which pitches they are. We aren't booking because we are going low season (I wouldn't be paying those sorts of prices either) and we may not go there if the weather doesn't look great!
If you are referring to the Camping Ty Nadan in Brittany we went there last August and loved it (loads to do) and have rebooked for this year. The entrance car park where you first park up to register can be tight but the roads around the site are fine - some people walk to where their pitch is first and then drive....save getting involved in some interesting turn a rounds.
As I recall the shower and toilet blocks where never more than 4 or 5 minutes walk at worst.
I think the best way to find out, seeing as no one appears to have used a pitch with private sanitary facilities is to ask the site either by phone or by email.
Last summer I didn't see any private bathrooms on pitches next to the river. However we scratched seven kinds of hooley out of our single axle van getting it to our pitch using the route we were told to by reception. Then did battles with stinging nettles to get to the ehu. The wifi absolutely does NOT work, neither does any sort of reliable mobile phone signal. I won't be going there again, it is NOT a typical Les Castels site.
The pizza from the snack bar was very good though.

Yeah I am not so keen on going after I read some of the reviews I know some people love it there but I don't think we will be going! We'll see where the weather takes us I think which was our original plan!
Thanks Val I have seen it, to be honest we can use our own facilities - we purposely bought a van with its own shower and it's a godsend!! it was just a bit of a novelty to have a private bathroom! My daughter has a disability and trying to use "disabled facilities" sometimes can be a nightmare (if they actually had a disabled person test out some facilities they would realise how rubbish they are) and it can be very hit and miss! The amount of times the disabled wet room floods and all our stuff gets wet is unbelievable! I'll look for somewhere with waste and water on the pitch as they are much more common!
