You are being pedantic as it still cost us £5 whichever way you look at it.

Hmm., reading some of the comments regarding breakfast "take aways", reminds me of a Simpson's cartoon, where Homer is taking everything not nailed down from a hotel room. Bed, TV, mattress etc all pushed out of the window!
As Marge told him "it all has to be paid for somehow".

I thought saxo was just being accurate. But clearly not for the pedant police.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it

There are three of us, we've never gone over the old limit, (3 x £7.90). I always get a full English, plus a coffee and a bottle of orange juice that I tend to take with me for the car journey. The OH and DD tend to get either cereal or a croissant, or both, plus a coffee/hot chocolate, and fresh orange each. It sets us up for a days travelling. It all has to be paid somehow - yeah, with my membership fee for Club Voyage.
It's a struggle to get up early enough to eat, and it's a bit of a rush, but saves spending money later in the morning which in some small way helps towards the cost of the holiday. Plus, I enjoy the experience, the breakfast isn't the best I've ever had, but it's a pleasant start to the holiday.

Arrival as a rule is 0815 French time ,which is 0715 UK time, so breakfast at 0615 UK time. You can have my breakfast too, although the arrival time on the overnight to Caen is even more brutal .
