A little nugget of information....
'Atlantic Fryers' Plymouth with deliver takeaway to the Brittany ferry port. Useful to know if you do not want to leave your unit to get some food.

We choose to not leave our caravan and car whilst travelling having had one experience at a motorway service station with a lorry driver vandalising our caravan.
Once sited alls fine. Its a personal choice.
The takeaway info. was intended for information only.
Useful information for those travelling from Plymouth. We could have done with something similar in Portsmouth at Easter when overnighting at the ferry port. As it was we parked up in the car park of the big Tesco near Port Solent (empty because it was Easter Sunday), and got a takeaway from just across the road before moving on to the port at 10pm. We don't leave the car/van unattended off site either.

Thank you as very useful information. We would never leave the unit unattended however we also have dogs travelling with us and it would not be fair on them to be left in the caravan while we are out eating.
That's really good to know. We sailed from Plymouth last year, hanging around at the ferry port and eating on the ferry which was a little late for the youngest child. As we have a trailer attached we prefer to just get to the port rather than trying to park somewhere. That would make it all much easier.

There's a perfectly good restaurant right there in the marina at the Plymouth ferry port. Last orders 9;15pm on weekdays and 10 pm. on Fridays and Saturdays. They have a children's menu as well as one for grown ups. You can have fish and chips if you wish but the seafood linguini with mussels and tiger prawns in cream and white wine sauce was particularly good when we were there last week.
