Hi,

I have just joined ADAC. Had a little issue with payment as they wanted me to send my cc details through via email! I then rang and spoke to an agent in Germany who was very helpful but he said they no longer take cc for payment so I had to do a bank transfer. All sorted now but I will have an additional charge for the transfer. Still works out a lot cheaper than using Mayday and Red Pennant.

That is not true you can still pay by Credit Card , being from the UK,.
You obviously did not speak to the right Office as only one as I know does. Where did you email too and why did you not pay by email ? There is no problems there if it was Regensburg Office.

I rang the Regensburg office. Same number as for Ann-Katrin. I was conversing with Ann-Katrin via email. I didn't post my cc number and expiry date with my address for security reasons.

John you obviously was put through to another office who cannot take CCards. This does happen when Regensburg Office is very busy the
calls are transferred to another. I have no qualms with giving my card details to Ann-Katrin or Amanda Moser- Wickles at Regensburg. Most Members renew that way too.

I didn't ask for the name of the operative who I was connected to but I was redirected when I made my call. He did say that Ann-Karin should have informed me that they don't accept cc payments anymore. As you say it may be that he isn't aware that they can take cc payments from the UK. I was happy to give my card details over the phone to either Ann-Karin or Amanda, I am just very careful how much information I divulge in emails, they are not always secure.

Shame you missed out John remember to contact Ann-Katrin by email when you need to renew and ask her to telephone you then you can give her your card details on phone.

I emailed Anne-Katrine last night and she replied this morning saying Cards taken as usual and yes email her with your telephone number she will phone you back for Card details. This is for all new Members joining and Renewals.
