Hi Berriow
That is so true and can also be said about your own family too lol.
We decided on a tour for two reasons the main one being back up on your doorstep should anything go wrong and secondly hubby can enjoy the tours without having to drive to all of the different places no worry of where to park or satnav turning your motorhome into a car and trying to send you through low bridges!!!
We might love it we might hate it I will let everyone know when we get back in November.
Thanks again

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Claire, the Caravan Club tours are usually over-subscribed, so are popular, and it's hard to understand why it's so hard to find feedback on them. If you 'Search' on here and just put in Tour and then 'forever' there are loads of posts - and one of two of them are about touring the with Caravan Club. You may find some useful information on there, but if not perhaps it's worth ringing the Caravan Club to ask if it's possible to see any feedback from those who have previously done the tour you have booked.
We have friends who still host those tours, and they speak of very positive feedback from people on the tours, but unfortunately she doesn't contribute to these forums any longer or she might be able to help more.
Thanks Val I will Look into that.
I have been in touch with the caravan club this lunch time and they are going to pass my e mail address onto other people who are on the tour so hopefuly they might get in touch.
Thank you so much for your help I will check it out later on today.

Why did you want to go on an escorted tour in the first place?
Possibly linking up with someone on UKCS would be a cheaper option
I checked out prices for flights, campsites, hiring etc and th difference was not worth the effort so I went to NZ with CCC. The experience as so positive we booked the following year for Canada, then California and this year we are off to the Deep South. Lifre is not alwaqys about just saving pennies.
The NZ group meet up every year for a reunion, the others don not but all tours were sound. The issue that does split the group is two or more couples who want to be together no matter what. When the group gelled it was bcause we met regularly but were not in each other's pockets.
We went on one tour with friends from student days, but kept apart on purpose. Only on the last day when we let our hair down - and yes we do still have plenty of it - did people ask if we knew each other from before the trip. Yes I said - over 40 years, when I used to cuddle him in the scrum.
