hi we are travelling to France in august and we are getting the 9.20 ferry so will get into Calais about midnight. Our plan is to try to get as far as we can whilst the kids sleep as we are travelling down to orcet for our first night and was wondering if there's any pull ins or aires near Rouen or chatres that we could pull into and catch a couple of hours sleep

There's a large parking area with toilets after Rouen towards Evereux. It's clearly signposted off the road.

For a few years we stopped a few miles south of Chartres (right at the 2nd? roundabout after the big one on the outskirts of Chartres). Drove up a quiet side road and snoozed. Much quieter than the roadside aires.
