Hi, can anyone advise on the cost of ferry/boat taxi on the lake? I've looked at website that does tours around the lake and it was really expensive. We were hoping there may be a cheaper alternative to get to Annecy town from somewhere further down the lake without driving in. Thanks

I can't advise you on the prices of the full lake tour, but we opted to take the cheaper/shorter half tour & found it quite enough. Coupled with a visit to Annecy on market day made for an enjoyable & memorable visit.
The 1 hr cruise is 14.4 euros pp. I assume you can get on and off but will be asking the accomodation for more info. Where we are is nr a boarding point apparently, but for what I'm not yet sure.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
I don't know the cost of the ferries as we didn't use them when we stayed there. The best way in is on the cycle path that runs all the way from the other end of the lake.
We cycled all the way round but must admit that there is quite a climb on the "other" side on the road.
There are bike hire places too. It's a lovely place with lots of sporting and lakeside activities on offer but not inexpensive. If you want to jump off the top of the mountain then it's something like £100!
