Can your existing UK breakdown cover be extended for your holiday in Italy?

Yes check, we have Asda cover which is green flag, to get european cover cost us £1.50 extra for the month we went.

I did use another one for the last few years that was £24 when I first got it then it was £36.

Premiums £12 a month for top cover I think, anyway it gives a very good cover and as you pay monthly you can canx at any time.

Red Pennant every time. Expensive but so worth it. They made a recent major breakdown so much less stressful and got us home.

I have used AA cover in France, a flat battery on a campsite about 4 years ago. Someone was with me to get it started in about 30 minutes.

Check the weight - we have needed to be with RAC as they seem only option for over 3.5t.

We are with the AA, although fortunately have not tested them yet.

We have used Red pennant for the last few years, and this year it proved itself. On arrival at the club site at Welwyn Garden City on our way to the tunnel, our motorhome had developed a major electrical problem. On investigation by green flag it was thought that the part required would take 2/3weeks to acquire a new part.Because of family commitments My wife and myself decided to continue our holiday, using red pennant our motorhome was picked up a hire car delivered (7seater), the driver was very helpful in helping me to load the car with our clothes and food the tunnel was sorted and a two centre holiday in France in mobile homes were our dog could stay with us after three weeks away we picked our repaired motorhome up, with no problems whatsoever.like people say it's a little expensive but worth it.ps AA will not transport dog's in the event of relaying back from continental Europe, not much good for us has our 12yr old spaniel is always with us hoping to be a little help Arthur

ADAC Don cover all vehicles any age too invUK and Europe 12 months for around £100 depending on exchange rate.

To get cover and ask any questions email ann-katrin.zintl at sby.adac.de in English she will email you back or give her your phone number she will ring you if you give her the time you are available.

Been with them over 11 years Service excellent.
