We're off in our caravan for three weeks in September and are heading for Bavaria. Have stayed at a site in Brunnen some years ago. Can anyone recommend a site (or two) in Bavaria? Thanks in advance. Ps. we'll be staying in the Municipal in Metze on our way, a great favourite of ours.

yes, sorry, I had forgotten just how far north it extends. We are heading for Southern Bavaria, Swabia and Upper Bavaria.

It might be a bit 'north' for you, but I have recently stayed at http://www.campinginsel.de/ which was lovely little site right next to a river. It has a small restaurant and bar on site, as well as excellent new ablutions with free showers etc. There is a bus stop right outside the site, from where you can get a bus directly into the pretty little town of Bamberg - really worth visiting.
