Liver paté in a tube is very useful for dogs that are reluctant to take tablets. Tablets can be crushed between two spoons then mixed with the paté. Never fails!

Our pooch will detect a whole tablet in cream cheese, meat
and even liver paste and then spit it out. Hence the need to crush it.

When you approach the Eurotunnel Terminal from the A16 follow the 'Paw Print' signs and park up.

The entrance is up a shallow walkway directly in front of you, the exit is to the left of the building.

All Staff speak very good English.

At the Pet Passport Office you will need to have the Pet Passport, Travel booking form and to know your vehicle registration number.

Also you should know the position of the Microchip on your animals (see page 3 of the Pet Passport) as you have to scan the animal to show the Microchip number corresponds to the one in the Pet Passport.

The scanner we used today was much smaller than previous visits and just pass the scanner where the chip should be and the scanner will beep.
Hand it back to the Staff, they will reset it and you do the same for the second dog.

PLEASE NOTE - You MUST check that the Passport has been correctly signed and dated by the Vet for the Tapeworm treatment as it the responsibility of you, and only you, if it is not correct when presented at the Passport Office.

If the dog has not had the RABIES treatment, or is not up-to-date, the animal will not be allowed back to the UK for 21 days (three weeks) after having the Rabies treatment.

Any Pet Passport that appears to have been altered in any shape or form will almost certainly be rejected.

Whichever Vet you use I would appreciate it if you could give up-to-date information, especially price, to add to the Google Map of Recommended Vets.

The vet we went to in Argentan (Normandy) in May (walking distance from the excellent municipal site) gave our dog his pill and then used a syringe - minus the needle - filled with water which she injected into his mouth. Made him swallow so pill went down a treat! Incidentally, she only charged 22.05 euros 😊
