We always stay at Camping De L'Aloua. It's quiet, has good size flat pitches, is near the cycle path, shops and bus stop. The toilet/shower facilities are a bit dated but perfectly acceptable. It takes ACSI out of season.
We only visit out of season when a lot of the advertised facilities like entertainment stop and it's definitely not all singing and dancing and we find t a relaxing hideaway compared to some of the other sites around the lake.
All sites there will be adult only in school term time - apart from a few babies and toddlers - but all sites there will have children in school holidays. There are absolutely no adult only sites then.
All sites on the lake shore will be busy and crammed full in mid summer, If you are going then you may prefer to look at sites away from the lake. It really all does depend on the timing of your visit.
Le Solitaire, St Jorioz. THis has direct access to the lake and the cycle piste between Annecy and Albertville.
Le Belvedere in Anncey is up towards Semnoz..it is municiple and WAS really good. The views over the lake are fabulous and there is direct access to the town.
You need to check this one though because it was badly managed the last time we were there in 2014, so much so that we only stayed one night.

Favourite site:
Camping Nanzel, Limone, Lake
Garda..perfect for MTB, Kayak, SUP and fell running training.
Favourite areas: Provence, French Alps, Savigny (as a stop over for Southern France: Rhein valley as a stop over for Italy. 78
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Whoops just seen QUIET.......Solitaire is far from quiet. It depends when you go. If you go out of season September onwards you'll be OK.
There is a lovely site on the other side of the lake in Talloires. Camping Du Lac and Camping St Claude. Whilst we prefer this side of the lake, the campsites on the other side have a great view of the mountains....
Difficult choice...beautiful place.

In midsummer anyone seeking space and quietness needs to leave the commercial sites, crowds and road noise along the lake shore, and go up into the hills - with a view of the lake, but not actually beside it. Camping des Ferrieres has a few photos on their website showing what is possible for those who want peacefulness at that time of year.
Don't think you will find an adult only site - particually in the school holidays ,we are in Annecy area now at Camping La Ravoire and it's great ,fairly quiet but there are kids having fun etc so there is some noise but nothing to bad

June-Hurley Riverside Park

Hi AK we were there last couple of weeks also. Lovely site but wouldn't class as quiet and very very English. Enjoyed the site, lovely staff, great pool area and location and loved the area but would probably seek out somewhere else a bit more french maybe personally next time
