We didn't think we were going to get to France this year as I am completing my doctoral thesis and all annual leave has been given over to writing; however, I have just submitted (hurrah) and now find that I have a couple of weeks where we could head to France. The site we would like to go to operates the ACSI scheme for the dates we will be there which would be a considerable saving but I don't currently have the card and ordering it from ACSI seems to take up to 12 days for delivery which is too long. Does anyone know if you can buy the discount card anywhere else where I might be able to get it within a couple of days?

Whereabouts are you going in France? I have one (in France) that you could have for the price of the postage. Unfortunately it's not here with us in the caravan but back at home in the Aude. When do you set off? I could post it (just the card to keep the price down) to your campsite.
A lot of the ACSI campsites sell the books (with card) in their reception so you could always contact the one you wish to go to and ask if they have them and if they would keep one for your arrival.
Thanks for the advice everyone! The long range forecast for northern France doesn't look much better than the UK over the next few weeks so we have decided to stay in the UK! I'll miss our annual trip to France but all the more to look forward to in June.

Well the weather here, in the Ardeche, couldn't be better at the moment. Thirty-two degrees, no cloud, no humidity, cooling breeze - absolutely first class French weather. Sorry you're missing out.
