a website advertising mobile homes / statics for sale in France? Have searched with minimal results. Looking for something for sale on a small(ish) private site... definitely not large, or one of the chain sites.
Preferred area would be the Loire, possibly in the Saumur area so that we could easily be on site in a day's drive from Calais. Other areas would be considered within 400 miles from the port.

Campsites that do have mobile homes generally advertise any for sale on their websites. I would have thought it would be absolutely essential to use the campsite as a touring camper/caravanner for several seasons before committing to buy a place there.

There are Moibile Homes for sale in France on the Classified's Section (click for link)
A couple of years ago one was even being given away free, provided the 'buyer' took over the site fees.

hi, we're on a small family run site on the vendee Le Ragis in Challans. weve been here for 13 years ! there are six other British families and one Irish family with mobile homes out of the 200 or so emplacements. no age limitation on vans, you can sell privately, takes 6/7 hours from Calais. site fees are around 2300 euros per year plus gas and electric - we pay around 90 euros for each.
whats your budget? if youre interested in knowing more contact me direct - davebeverley at yahoo.com - there are two vans up for sale privately at the moment, one is a French van for 26000 euros, the other is an older English van for 12000 euros (but needs a bit of TLC - though easily sorted)
there is one site on the vendee I would avoid like the plague ! ive heard several horror stories about being 'held for ransom' when people have tried to sell. its in Apremont ....
I dont act as an agent or anything like that - just try to offer advice or info (the main purpose of this website forum lol)
we shipped our current van (and previous one)out from the uk ourselves. its not as difficult as you may think. you would have to add around 2500 euros for 'gate and installation' fess, but you get to shop around and choose your own van in the UK!!
someone previously mentioned leboncoin, which is pretty good, but also try vivastreet.fr and ebay.fr
