We are heading home via Caen on Friday, have used this aire on the A28 as a good stop off point lots of times before, but this year we are towing a sizeable trailer, and now looking at it with fresh eyes! I have tried to look at google maps to check out the parking options, but it's hard to make out. Does anyone have experience of stopping here with a trailer or caravan?

Aires are usually for motorhomes and not caravans

Not motorway aires. They are for all and usually have spaces put aside for caravans (not that that stops car drivers from using them). They also have "drive through" spaces for lorries. If in doubt, use these.

Thanks Joanna, that's what I meant - the autoroute aire. Ok, will look for the caravan spaces first, and resort to the lorry park if needs be.

Just follow the signs. Different parking areas are clearly indicated.

Stopped there yesterday, towing a trailer. It's a big aire - lots of parking. No difficulties at all.
