We're travelling to France and then into Switzerland for a 3 week trip, I feed my 2 dogs on a raw food diet, I've managed to get 30 packs of green tripe in my freezer. Is there any restrictions on taking raw dog food into France or Switzerland? Will they search freezer at customs?

If it's marked commercially as dog food ( I know that's unlikely with raw food ) you'll be fine but tell them if asked

If not you'll be limited to 1 kg per person of all meat products again tell them if asked

For Switzerland anyway

France you should be fine ( don't know about Switzerland into France )

You are pretty unlikely to get stopped. You can drive into Swiss on a small road & the border won't be manned anyway.
